Just got back from biking/camping yesterday, will work on getting some of those pictures up somewhere, soon.
Meanwhile, I'd also spent some time working on a website for All Access Rigging. The final version is up at
www.allaccessrigging.com. I really need to find some time to
revamp my site here. And work on one here.. Been a busy month and the
trend is going to continue. Livia's birthday, party this weekend, Kevin's wedding next weekend (I'm in it),
and then Dave Matthews Band closing it out on the 31st. And work all in between. House? Maybe...we'll
see...alwyas so many projects.

And kickin...
Yea, so long overdue for an update - been a while. This are going well,
working on the house still and doing a good bit of biking now that the
weather has broken. Things have been pretty good for the dude. Not
really too much to complain about. Hopefully over the next few days I'll
get some more pictures up - I need to do some consolidation between

Facebook, and my album.
It looks like it is getting sunny out. Might have to go for a ride.
Get outside and put it up in the air ;o)
Update: Yes, the water company fixed the street and sidewalk. Pictures
to come - just too dark to take them now.
Also will have more pictures of the house as soon I upload them.
And if you're still here - I may write something with content and value.
Or not. Don't get your hopes up - I have a hard time following my own
advice, so trust me - Don't do something that I'd do.
It has been three weeks and one day since I contacted Pennsylvania American Water about the growing hole in the sidewalk in front of my house. As you can see from the previous pictures, all they have done is come out and put a sign over the hole. They could have at least filled it with gravel if they're too 'busy' to fix it. Come on - this is getting rediculous. They've told me that it has been escalated as a matter of urgency; I somehow fail to believe that.
In fact, while walking to the bus stop the other day (which is basically just through my backyard), I come to find they (PAW) have the road closed. I jokingly said to one of the guys (who appeared to be in charge; he wasn't doing anything) that after they're done there to come up and fix my sidewalk. He said if they had time, they'd come up and try to put some gravel in it. I didn't expect much - they certainly couldn't repair the sidewalk properly, they didn't have the right equipment.
Obviously, they didn't have time:
I even have a video for your enjoyment:
Nothing has been done yet and PAW cannot yet give me a date.
I've taken some pictures and I'm going to see if they can't get things
done this week. If not, I'm going to have to do something else, but this
needs to be fixed.
Took some pictures today:

The Pennsylvania Water Company are a bunch of lazy jags. Here's the backstory:
When I moved into my new house and had the water company come to turn on the water, they discovered that the box outside was broken. They scheduled people to come out, dig it up, and replace the box. Of course they want to get the water on, how else can they take my money? So they leave the sidewalk and part of the street dug-up; a mess of cold-patch and gravel - they inform me that somone will be out to do the finish work on the sidewalk and the street.
That was nearly two months ago.
So last week, we get some rain and all of a sudden there's a small
sink-hole in the gravel sidewalk about 2 feet wide and 2 feet deep. I
call PAW on 7/21/07 about this, as it posses a hazzard to anyone using the
sidewalk. They tell me they've opened a ticket; someone will be out soon.
That was Saturday. Monday came and went - nothing. So I called again,
reiterating my concern for public safety. They came out and put one of
those saw-horse-type safety markers with a light. The light doesn't even
work.
So today I walk outside after a good steady night of rain and find that - guess what - the hole is deeper! Not only that, but the hole seems to have taken a turn underneath the existing, non-damaged sidewalk. So I've called them again. I've kept telling them the same things: There's a sinkhole, in the middle of the sidewalk that they are responsible for. It's a growing issue and is obviously going to lead to further problems if left unchecked.
They're supposed to call me when they get a date figured out. Of course, they were supposed to call when they came and installed my sign too. If there's no one out there this weekend, I think I may need to contact WTAE's Call 4 Action team.
Rant over. For now.
Been a busy month so far. Need to get some updated pictures, etc. The walls are almost ready for paint, thanks to much help from my father. In addition, we've taken the pool down and now have to figure out what to do with the remaining space and deck. There's still a ton to do - I'm not sure that it will ever truly be done - hah!
The plans are to finish up the walls over the next couple days and then make a go at texturizing the ceilings. Here's hoping it turns out ok - I don't really feel like paying someone to do it. Once the ceilings are done, it'll be time to turn into a mad painter and then - onto the floors.
Aside from the house, I've unexpectedly met a new acquaintance with whom I share many, many traits with. She's pretty much wonderfull. I'll leave it at that - she'd get mad if I went on gushing about her ;oP
That's it for now, I gotta get on the grass situation and then get to these damn walls. Over and out.
