Moar pictars:
This was just leaning up against someones car, with no one around. Coolest bike there that we wanted to see someone go down '007' with.
You can check out the rest of the pictures taken by Dave here.
Well, just getting back from Seven Springs Free Bike Park weekend. Just went up for the day. Had a great time - weather held out nice for the most part. Had one quick downpour which actually worked well for the track, as it quickly dried and got nice and tacky. Dave and I made it through unscathed, despite hitting up some of the black diamond trails. Overall, I was pretty impressed - the track was pretty smooth and definitely doable on a hardtail. Most people were talking about that; how well it flowed and how smooth things were. It was a nice mix of everything, especially some of the parts through the wooded areas, which were rocky, with some nice drop offs and technical sections.
Pretty much rode til our bodies wouldn't let us any more. Oh,and that picture there? That was after I had already previously washed off. Good dirt. More pictures to come. I didn't take any, but Dave got some. Should be posting those up as soon as he gets them off the camera. Some staff from 7 Springs was grabbing pictures - does this mean I'm official now?
So its a blatant rip off of Chic-fil-A's timeless classic. Does it come close to mimicking their tasty creation? Not really. While the sandwich was better than McDonald's other fowl offerings, it just couldn't hold a candle to Chic-fil-A. The breading wasn't bad, it just didn't have that nice thin, yet crisp quality...instead it was kind of soggy. The texture of the chicken was good, but it just wan't as tender or as flavorful. The buns used by the originators are much better as well. Sorry McDonalds...but you won't be seeing me again unless you slide me some more free coupons. That was the best part of the meal.
But not from today. Too busy riding and minding the puppy. He's going to be an awesome trail dog. Thirteen weeks old and he listens well, comes, stays (sorta) and won't go off with other people or dogs. And there was no lack of other people walking with dogs. He tears down singletrack, right along with you. If he felt someone was lagging behind to much, he'd stop and wait for them - then bound down the trail to catch up. Proud papa am I. Livia didn't like the singletrack so much. Too many technical sections. Definitely my fault. Gravel paths for joint rides in the future for sure. Fine by me, as long as I'm on the bike! Hmm...I think a 29er would be awesome for that...among other things. I think I have a building lust for a cerain 29er singlespeed. Also have other posting options now (see below) that I'l be experimenting with. If nothing else, I imagine using the API for the mt-atom.cgi script can't be all that hard...
Well, SixApart has this nifty application for Facebook called Blog It, that works with a lot of other social networking sites, plus blogging to Movable Type. WordPress too, if you're so inclined. I say its pretty neat. And another avenue for possibly posting from the BlackBerry. More at 6. Or not.
Edited to provide content. Seems hopeless from the BB.
So, both the native <a href=http://blackberry.com>BlackBerry</a> browser and <a href=http://www.operamini.com/>Opera Mini</a> have failed me. They save the title but not the body. That's just plain silly. I guess I'm stuck with an e-mail blogging solution. Not much better than Bloxsom, really. I realize I liked Bloxsom - it was extremely customizable. Well, still running it, but posting here. More. Maybe. Especially if I can figure some sort of way to....hmm...is there a Facebook plugin for MT? I can post photos and well, whatever from their application. SixApart, you leave me flacid and unfulfilled. Damn you.
Well, that wasn't so bad, getting all my posts from my <a href=http://www.blosxom.com/>Bloxsom</a>-powered <a href=http://obscurereality.net/>blog</a> transfered to Movable Type here. Tweaked the CSS a bit for the default template, moved some widgets around and I'm off and running. Now if <a href=http://www.sixapart.com>SixApart</a> would get their shit together and release an app for my BlackBerry. They have an application for TypePad available for both <a href=http://http://www.typepad.com/features/mobile.html>iPhone and BlackBerry, among others</a> . They have an MT application for the <a href=http://plugins.movabletype.org/imt/>iPhone</a>. Why is the BlackBerry left scorn for MT? Blast you SixApart, please make this right.
