NASA evacuated a building at the Johnson Space Center in Houston after a person with a gun was seen and a shot was fired, a NASA spokeswoman said Friday. Brandi Dean said it was not yet known if anyone was hurt. NASA spokesperson James Hartfield told CNN there were gunshots heard in the building. What the hell is wrong with people? Come on - the weather is finally breaking - just go out and bask in the sunshine. I repeat, put the guns down and enjoy the warm rays of energy that will pummel your skin. Some people want to blame all this violence on video games *coughJackThompson*cough* just to draw attention to themselves. Why do they have this agenda? The largest killing spree prior to the VT shootings was 1966 - there certainly weren't any violent/bloody games around at that time. How do you explain that? Not to mention that the VT student responsible for the shootings was found to have NO video games at his domecile, let alone any games that were violent in nature. Video games are not the root cause of chaos in this world - it is human beings themselves.
We cannot have order, we cannot have peace. Hell, the United States is a perfect example of that - we've been starting wars and intervening in areas that we have no business being involved in. Why? Because we can. Sometimes, just because you can doesn't mean you should. Its even further complicated by the fact that our figure-head GW believes he is acting in the name of God. *shudder* Since when does God cosign crusades and murder of innocents? Don't think martyrdom - that's is not what is going on here.
The world is in a sad state and we continue to perpetuate it, feed it. Human nature leans towards chaos and we will be the cause of our own undoing.
