Whoa, I gotta go shopping!

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

I still need to do a lot of shopping. I have one big gift for Kelly that I'm still building (and have thankfully not been keeping track of what
I've spent so far on it) but I still need to get her something else...winter tires don't count. I need ideas for mother too. Dad's covered.
Thinking of this... I should document my creation of the fiance's gift. That would make for a nice HowTo: for someone that is attempting to do
what I'm doing. What am I doing? You gotta wait for that, its not Christmas time yet!

If you have any gift ideas, feel free to drop me a line!

It's that time of year again...

Good eats and drink. All til the next year... I don't know how I'm going to make it through this next month, there's too much too do. I need
to get the garage door up, get tires on the car along with an alignment, get Christmas lights up and I haven't even thought about a tree
yet...which is likely going to require moving the living room around....which...UGH! See?! It just doesn't stop. Its crazy season, folks!
Spread that holiday cheer!

Seriously, I do like the holidays, but there really is a lot going on right now and a lot on my mind.

Which shouldn't last too long this evening, since as it is the most popular drinking day of the year, I plan on conforming. When in Rome, eh?
Well, since I'm in the South Side, I must partake in the local debauchery. Ah...debauchery =) Everyone could use a lil.

Holy Holidays, Batman!

Wow...this year has flown by. I'm not quite sure if I'm ready for all the upcoming Holiday hoopla. Or the family stuff. Whee! Seriously
though, I love you guys =oP

I love my job. Apparently, so does everyone I work with - I couldn't even work the upcoming Thanksgiving day and
"Black Friday" if I wanted too - I got bumped out of the way by everyone else who wanted to work and had seniority. *Shrug* It could be worse.
It could be C*mcast and being forced to work those days at odd times that are no where near convenient. So here's looking forward to working.
Holidays or otherwise.

Almost Forgot...

Wow does flying stink these days. I think that not only is it a racket to try to get you to buy toiletries and whatnot...but the goal of all
these terror allerts and rediculous searches is to undermine the public's sense of security. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
I mean look at what happened to my fiance - they took her contact solution from her purse and while her carry on came through, the airline
personal says "Oh just wait, I'm sure we're going to find a lot more in here" with such a condescending tone it made me sick. Backing up a
second - undermining our sense of security. I felt less secure than ever after going through the scans. One, there are a lot of bags and
pockets that go through unchecked, plus whatever is in the checked luggage - I don't think any amount of scanning, checking is really going to
improve security outside of what was done pre-9/11. Not only that but seeing the terror alert status everywhere...it was like WTF..is this
really necessary? I think that the aim of all this is so that the American public will be more accepting of the passage of bills that undermine
our privacy rights and our basic freedoms. If the American public wasn't scared, why would such things be allowed to occur, there'd be no
percieved need.
